Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Snap Snake mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Snap Snake is an AI-powered snake identification application designed for nature enthusiasts, hikers, and outdoor explorers. The App provides species identification from photos, an interactive sighting map, and a community feed of snake encounters shared by users worldwide.

Important Safety Disclaimer

Snap Snake is not a substitute for professional medical or wildlife advice. AI identification results may not be 100% accurate. Never handle, approach, or make decisions based solely on the App's identification results. Always maintain a safe distance from wild snakes. In case of a snake bite, seek emergency medical attention immediately.

User Responsibilities

By using Snap Snake, you agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Only upload images you own or have permission to use
  • Not upload harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
  • Provide accurate information when submitting community sighting records
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or exploit the App
  • Not use the App in any way that could harm wildlife or other users

Community Content

When you submit sighting records or other content to the community feed, you grant Snap Snake a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content within the App. You are responsible for ensuring your submissions are accurate and do not violate others' rights.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to the AI models, design, text, and graphics — are the exclusive property of Snap Snake and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snap Snake shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any reliance on AI identification results for safety decisions. Use the App at your own risk.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
